Marble

/ / m a i n / /

hola!
who hasn't been to national gallery yet?
if you haven't, then scoot along and plan a trip there today heh!

national gallery is the new hipster place in sg, its all over instagram and everyone has been there (almost).

daniel and i went there some time back, a bit later than most but still better late than never!
the best part is its free for singaporeans and there's aircon inside the building so its easy to enjoy art without having to brave the heat!:)

the whole building was huge and we definitely couldn't explore all the nooks and crannies even though we were there for more than an hour!
but i think we managed to see the main galleries and areas:)

enjoy the visuals!:)

my top is from bangkok
skirt from osmosestores
bag from bershka
shoes from asos

m a r b l e tiles everywhere!! -inserts heart eyes-

made daniel take a photo too for memory sake hehe.
he's wearing a shirt i picked out for him when we went malaysia!:)

if you're wondering how we got these shots...
i brought a tripod hahahah
luckily we didn't get many stares while taking these!

what we think we look like:

how (lame) we actually look hahaha

we're not artsy people at all but we try, we try.
hehe.

went to raffles city for tea break after!
we had nutella cake and truffle fries at Podi.
sinful max but its alright, we enjoyed it to make the calories worth ;)

till the next;

White Angels

/ / m a i n / /

hello!!
recently i finally had a few quality catch up seshs with the bestie.
i think within these few weeks we had more outings than we had the past year!
cos during J2, free time is practically like, non-existent.
so yup, we decided to head to tanjong pagar for some yummy food!!

but first, some otds hehe.
i'm in an all white ensemble because really, white is my favourite colour to wear!

outfit deets:
d-ring romper from theclosetlover
bag from bershka
wooden sandals from topshop

i love how this series of photos below aptly show my sombre (soft ombre) hair colour!
the ends are ash brown and its blended nicely by nic, my hairstylist at headlines!
read my posts on headlines here:

the place we decided on was may may, a japanese fusion restaurant.
i had the cold somen, sylvia had the warm somen, and we shared liu sha doughnuts for dessert!

they have some lunch promo which you can top up 3SGD for a set meal, which comes with a salad and soft drink.
they're actually famous for their cod rice bowl, but neither of us were fans of cod fish so we opted for the noodles!
sesame salad!
this was yums, i absolutely love japanese salad sauces, so so good.

be warned that the somen is spicy!
but it was so so good!
the roe, spring onion, sauce and springy noodles just came together so well to provide a burst of flavour and texture in every bite.
i would definitely recommend this!
and its worth it for the price too because its a huge bowl, good for sharing actually, if you don't have a huge appetite.

and finally... the insta-famous liu sha donuts!!
this was not overrated at all cos it was sooo yum!
its a tad pricey at 7SGD for 3 pieces but omg its so good i'll pay for it.
definitely a must try.

may may has a beautiful modern interior as well.
parts of it is white themed and another section has bountiful greenery and natural sunlight peeking in.
perfect for snapping a photo!

hehe, us looking all happy after filling our tummies with a good meal!

here's another set of otds cos i was really in a mood for otds that day haha.
love the contrast between white and black, and the complementary peek of gold in these frames!

upclose of the d-ring details!

headed down to orchard central to shop at editors with my llamas and grab a bite at dean and deluca cos...there's always space for cake! especially when its rainbow cake hehe.
love how we're decked in monochromatic colours, totally unplanned i swear!

and then finally, last event of the day was to go to D's church choir concert!
for once i'm attending his choir concert instead of him attending mine haha.
this boy is always so shy when it comes to singing hehe.
it was definitely a fruitful and meaningful concert.
this was a super blessed day indeed.

Blonde Ambition

/ / m a i n / /

hola my dear readers/friends!!
so as the title aptly described...i have gone BLONDE ;)))

okay not full on blonde, i'm not so brave just yet, but blonde highlights for a start!
you might have noticed that i chopped off a good portion of my locks too, and boy it felt good.
it was liberation and silky smooth locks once again after snipping those horrible dry ends off, good riddance haha.
so lets see how it started off shall we?
i can't even look at this picture of gosh, those dry ends are so bad!
lets just say that bleaching + perming is really not a good idea at all.

after a few hours of chatting with my stylist nic, reading up on the latest runway trends and a much needed nap, i woke up to gorgeous gorgeous blonde streaks!
so so impressed by nic's skills once again, please look for him when you're there!
a good hairstylist makes all the difference especially when it comes to colouring/haircuts, really!

for my highlights here, it required 2 times of bleaching, but not to worry this free hand highlight technique will not cause damage to the scalp because it does not touch the scalp at all.
also, you may not believe it but even after bleaching two times, after doing a mucota treatment, my hair felt softer and even silkier than before, maybe because the dry ends were all snipped off:)
and i'm saying this 2 weeks after i got the bleaching done, my hair is still smooth and very manageable!
and look at the super nicely done v-shaped haircut nic did for me, much love!!

here are some more pictures of my new hair colour and shorter, sleeker do!
hope you guys like it as much as i do!
i find that with this new look, i can't pull off girly stuff as well anymore, but there's a new kind of energy emanating and chic, tougher looks come much more naturally for me now.
i'm definitely loving and embracing the new change!

here's how it looks like when tied up!
absolutely loving the tortoiseshell effect here!
got so many compliments for this hehe.

hehe D did a great job of capturing my side view here, it rarely looks so chiselled!

and he helped me snap my outfit shots too!
im wearing a knit cropped top, boyfriend ripped jeans from thetinselrack (ttr) and my trusty satchel is from bershka!
oh and slip on shoes are from the editors market!
