Peach

/ /  m a i n / /

hello everyone!
i know i haven't been updating much recently, thats cos i've been prepping for mid terms and been spending time with loved ones as much as i can recently, so do pardon my lack of updates!
but im rather active on dayre and instagram @etherealpeonies :)

so its time for my monthly hair treat at headlines hairdressing!
this month i'm giving my tresses a break and staying away from colouring etc, so i did a scalp and hair treatment this time round!
here's a before shot, my hair is really dry from both bleaching and perming, so a treatment is definitely much needed!
these are the products used for scalp treatment.
its from the matrix series and this brand is used in many salons worldwide!
first step will be the exfoliator, to remove buildup and dead skin from the scalp.
second step will be shampooing, using a refreshing mint scalp shampoo.
third step will be a cooling and soothing mask for the scalp.
and last step is an ampoule, for softening the hair follicles to stimulate healthy hair growth!:)

as for hair treatment, nic used the mucota series for me, which i love cos it smells so good!
this mucota hair treatment is a three step process and it coats the hair with a protective layer that lasts for about a month:)

the light blue and purple ones are for moisturizing the hair, while the darker blue one is a spray which contains protein for the hair:)

and voila!
the end result which im so pleased with as usual!!
still loving my hair colour so much, it looks really nicely blended here doesn't it;)
and i really don't have the skills (and patience) to blow my hair so nicely everyday, so i'm always glad to have nic do it for me and i can have a really good hair day hehe!

some more photos taken after the trip to headlines!

Tulip

/ / m a i n / /

i've been wanting to go to gardens by the bay's tulip exhibition, so daniel took half day day off on a random monday and off we went!!
plus my favourite tiah works there so she got the tickets for us with staff discount!;)

let's compare the girls vs guys' reaction when going to a dome full of flowers heh.

typical girl reaction: looking so excited already hehe.

typical guy reaction: grumpy D hahaha
no la just kidding, we both had fun and enjoyed some time alone together since the cloud forest was practically empty! (we went there at 9am, madness i know)
annoying D took this unglam when i asked him to take a selfie together instead -_-
well, at least my hair colour looks quite nice? everything else cmi hahaha

cloud forest was more chill, just walking the treetop walk and enjoying the refreshingly cold temperature.
sneaked a snapshot of mbs while transitting to the flower dome!

hehe who ask u take my unglam just now!! >)
i love daisies!! they're as cute as a button hehe.
so far all the flowers D ever got me were daisies haha.
seriously i cannot stand how he pulls off candids so effortlessly omg.
what is this!!
asked the boy to help me stand there while i take test shots and he looked like this haha!
someone's looking really sleepy!
-morning stretch urghhhhh-
"okay i think im awake"

sun. too. blinding. -_-
yay the tulips were beautiful!!
demonstrated to D how i suggested he should pose to look like a flower hahaha.
he told me i was crazy xD

selfie selfie

oh yes! and the tulip exhibition had some "children's classic tales" theme going on as well!
they had cinderalla, grimms brothers, ugly duckling etc!
here's us with the cinderella carriage hehe.

snapped this in like, 3 seconds!
D was very happy photo taking is so efficient for once haha!
top from lovebonito, wool skirt from jrunway.

thanks for reading guys!

till the next;

Minimalist

/ / m a i n / /

cny day four was spent with two of my fav people!:)
(Yes i know im horrible, two months later and im still talking about cny-_-)
watched a movie with daniel at home in the morning, which turned out to be rather boring and i fell asleep haha.
i had a brunch appointment with nikks after that so i was prepping hurriedly, but still took an hour to get ready :x
the poor boy had to wait for me the entire hour but surprisingly he was quite interested?!
like..when i was doing my makeup i showed him the power of the eyelash curler and he was like "woah!!!-intrigued face-" hahahah boys... xD

so anyways, brunch was at Lo'Kal, an aussie inspired cafe in the outram estate.
i loved the interior design, its a bit vintage and really cozy.

as usual, selfies before the food arrives.
or should i say, selfies even when the food arrived! heh.

here's what we got!

berries yogurt smoothie
banana bread and yogurt
scrambled eggs, salmon and mushrooms

the banana bread and yogurt was an interesting dish!
its supposedly a healthy dish (acc to nikks) and it felt quite healthy to me cos it wasn't too sweet.
it felt really..natural? cos the sweetness stemmed from the bananas and the bread was only mildly sweet, as compared to usual brunch fares like french toasts which is drizzled with syrup and caramel sauce.
also, the yogurt complemented the banana bread well cos it made it less dry.

we didn't get the other normal items on the menu and instead decided to opt for their "diy your own breakfast set" option, which means you get to choose a few sides to make up your own dish:)
so we got scrambled eggs, salmon and mushrooms!
i'd have to say, all pass with flying colours!
the scrambled eggs' consistency was really good, it was subtly flavourful.
the salmon was a surprise, cos we expected it to be the usual slices of smoked salmon but it came in a whole chunk!
the thing about it being in a chunk is that it tends to be harder, but this one was done so well!
i suspect they torched it, thats why its still really soft.
and the sauteed mushrooms were really fresh and juicy!! (i can imagine D saying eww right now cos he hates muchrooms hahaha)

the geometric tiles were so pretty i had to capture some shots here before leaving!

and then we took our OTD against this greyscale panel, which i liked cos it immediately gives a modern feel to the whole look.
my dress is from Love, Bonito.
its supposed to be a midi btw but because im so petite it ended up as a maxi lol.

till the next;
