had a sleepover with my princesses from class. I reaally love sleepovers hehe. 

we cooked our own (budget) dinner which tasted good, nua-ed around the house and had HTHTs till 3am.

its wonderful how we just talked about everything under the sun, though at some point of time we felt really old too cos topics like marriage and driving etc came up (all thanks to you mel). 

am super thankful to this silly bunch for being my constant these 2 years in school. 

can't wait to spend more time with yall doing silly stuff again!!

(PS/ no full group pic cos the only pic we took was when we had eye masks on and its too unglam hahaha)

so anyways the next morning mel and yuan d had to leave first, so nikks, tiah and i went for brunch by ourselves:) 

nikks rly wanted to try The Missing Pan so ok, that it is!:)

took some selfies before the food was served hehe.

after like 2 selfies tiah decided that it was too taxing and so she took a break XD

i've never seen someone (a girl esp) who hates selfies as much as her hahahha!

so its okay nikks and i continued XD

And then we asked her to join us again and she reluctantly obliged XD

PS/i did makeup for tiah!! its not very obvious here other than the brows but she looks so pretty in real life teehee! 

And here's our take on derp face. 

Nikks still so glam and tiah is just shooting daggers at us for making her do this hahah!

Anyways the food finally arrived!!! We were starving cos it was like 2pm alr @.@

Here's what we ordered!

Croque Monsieur

This came with truffle fries and a salad, which imo makes it more worth the price. 

Tiah (who hates veg) managed to eat the salad so i would say its not bad? hahaha.

The truffle fries were awesome. I loved it! Super crisy, not too salty, had seaweed flakes and infused with the subtle fragrance of truffle:)

And for the main... just look at that thick slab of cheese will you? Its heaven for cheese lovers def!

This was good as well, the bread was crispy yet soft, they were generous with the cheese but it was not gelat/overpowering. 

All 3 of us agreed that this was a very underrated dish, give it a try if you're there nxt time!;)

And of course, their famous french toast. 

I really dislike stuff that are salty and sweet at the same time but this one is so good!

my brows were tinted at Benefit's Brow Bar btw, loved the effect!

anyways we got dessert too!

this is a seasonal item i think? or maybe they just change the desserts in the display every time.

but this was really really nice too! 

its salted caramel in the middle and chocolate mousse for the outer layer, SO GOOD.

we had a lovely choir chalet as a farewell gift from the juniors some time back as well!

thank you juniors for prepping everything for us and taking care of all the nitty gritty details!

while the juniors were busy bbq-ing and setting up the stuff my batch was just selfie-ing with a selfie stick lolol! 

truly blessed to be in the company of those i love.

it has been a good few months overall, learning to appreciate those around me more as well.

one of the biggest lessons learnt over the past month is to treasure every moment spent with loved ones, you never know when last moments are, so live with no regrets.

Mint Embellishments

Been gravitating towards the edgy, casual denim shorts chic kinda outfits recently, as compared to the past where it was pastels all the way! So when i wore this pastel outfit recently it was like, pretty deja vu hehe. 

Btw i'm trying to clear out my stash of backdated posts so... please bear with me haha. Newer updates will come after these are cleared heh.

Review(TVD Pleated Top): Im a huge fan of pleats, camis and light colours so when i saw this from the previews i already knew i was gonna get it from the launch:) And it was a good decision! This is a lovely basic to have:) It simple but pretty, plus the pleats are really well pressed and classy. Love the slight v cut and dusty mint as well, which is a more toned down colour than those bright mints. Length wise its abit long imo so i prefer it tucked in:) A side note, it doesn't have adjustable straps, but it isnt too long for me so thats okay. Its a really nice basic to have, regret not getting it in white too!!

I paired this with a embellished skirt i got from Forever New during their sales some time back:)

This was at like 50% off or something heh, and i was lucky cos they had my size (UK4 for high waist) which is really rare!

Me and yunmei had Llao Llao for dinner cos we weren't hungry, but omg this cup of froyo is really filling! But so yummy hahah, i don't think its overrated honestly! Definitely my fav froyo place to go from now on;)

Whee we have arrived at the concert venue!

& since we were early we made the guys do a mini photoshoot of their own ;)

Everyone tried but i chose this one of wee cos i think his is the best! 

He nailed the natural candid shot don't you think hehe!

Oh btw this concert is SingaFour! Which showcased choirs of the four famed choral conductors of Singapore:) Miss Jennifer Tham, Mr Nelson Kwei, Mr Toh Ban Sheng and of cos my fav Ms Lim! 

RioHC/hwa chong didn't perform for this so we went there to support my conductor and my juniors from nanyang girls:) 

I'd have to say i enjoyed the performance put up by one of Mr Toh's choir the most:) They just had confidence oozing out of them, the charisma was undeniable and of course, the piece they presented was really interesting and involved some funky dancing hehe! Not to mention Mr Toh sang as well and omg his voice.. so amazing! No wonder people say he has the voice of an alto (the highest range for guys is usually tenor but he can reach alto notes beautifully!) 

After the concert i managed to take some pics with the juniors!

I remember those days of going for choir concerts one after another, sigh the good old days :)

 Every concert was an eye opener and i loved it all. 

And well, now thats As are over i can't wait to go for more again!! :))

SOLSTICE

Decided i should do up this post before it gets way overdue again, like some other 1 year late drafts which i don't bother posting anymore>< 

{Solstice; the day the Sun stands still.}

It was my very last choir concert and marked my last day as an official choristor for the past 6 years. Really so much feels but i don't know how to pen it down in words, its just emotions overflowing.

For starters,

 I've always loved singing.

In pri sch i was persuaded by a friend to join harmonica, which was an interesting experience but not where my passion lies.

Finally in secondary school i joined nanyang choir and its one of the best decisions i made in my life thus far cos it kick started my choir journey:)

Choir really isn't an easy CCA unlike what everyone thinks.

Beyond the already difficult technicalities of being on pitch, learning the weirdest harmonies if you're not in sopranos, blending together as a choir, intepretation of songs, memorization of tons of songs in languages like estonian, those are reeeeally just the tip of the iceberg.

It is also a very physically challenging CCA haha. We'd have practices 3 times a week, standing 4 hours straight with maybe a 5 mins break during the whole duration on days we have much to accomplish. I still remember on SYF day we reported to school at 5+am, ran around the track like mad people to wake ourselves up so that our minds and body will be in 'the zone' aka focused. And during choir camp where it was like boot camp LOL, we had intense physical training sessions for hours, doing things like sit ups, running, leg lifts, planking and whatnot. It was torturous i'll admit, but it also made me stronger.

Also, i'd like to say that for those who love to sing but think you're not good enough, just give it a try:)

I definitely didn't start off well, my pitching was pretty bad at first but it IS trainable and gets better with experience:) 

I believe my choir journey won't end here, but for now as i take a break, im thankful for all the opportunities and times spent together with people i love. I wouldn't change a thing for it :)

& here are some snippets of our choir life/ performances in these short 1.5 years, which really isn't enough cos i want to spend so many more years with you guys :'(

Thank you S74 for coming down and showing moral support cos i know some of you (-cough- tiah -cough- linshu-) really aren't fans of concerts in general haha. So im really touched you guys still came down specially for me <3 Much love for yall hehe.

& my fav LFC thank you guys for being so supportive always, since the NY times:) I can always count on yall to turn up for my concerts even tho you guys prob don't understand much of it xD

And... i can also always count on yall to be so troll?!?! (They made me wear the hawaii garland and cat ears LOL)
