Fleurette

/ / m a i n / /

hello! i had a mini photoshoot sometime back, to showcase some of the looks im wearing this spring/summer:)
here's the first part of the lookbook!

SS15 Lookbook/ Series 1/ Fleurette
photographer: kayleigh g.

undoubtedly, midis are one the key looks this season, and very popular with singaporean girls,
its less formal than a maxi, yet still flowy and feminine.

i'm wearing midis alot this days, from midi culottes to midi dresses and skirts, as they are oh so flattering ;)

the key to picking a flattering midi is to choose one that ends at the right length, making sure it doesn't end at the widest part of your calves.

the piece i'm wearing today is the aubrey midi floral dress from vaingloriousyou.
i absolutely adore this piece, its made of lightweight polyester that is non sheer.
the workmanship and cutting for this is good and the ruches at the sweetheart portion is one of my fav details of this dress.

splashed with bright, vibrant florals, this is definitely a perk me up dress and i felt so happy just wearing it out :)

i hope you guys enjoyed this little lookbook feature!
stay tuned for part 2 and 3 coming up soon ;)

till the next;

Earth Child

hello!! i'm here to share some visuals again from the photoshoot with pyzis.
its all about nature this time, so there's alot of nature inspired prints and some bohemian pieces!

personally my top picks for this collection would be the bohemian pleated dress (second last from bottom) and the tropicana romper (third last from bottom).

the bohemian dress is a light, breezy piece.
i would pair it with a sunhat or a camel sling for that effortless boho girl look.

as for the tropicana romper, it requires minimal accessorizing as the prints are already the focal point.
it features a small v cut at the neckline as well, bonus points for little details like this!

the other pieces are very wearable and easy to pair as well.

Primrose

hola. good skin day and unbloated face (yayyy) calls for a few selfies!
lighter makeup on the face today, no mascara, eyeliner, brow mascara etc.
i've been meaning to do a new updated makeup tutorial but i can't seem to load videos on this platform hmm.

also, loving my new pink lippie that looks so natural and pretty in photos!
its slightly pinkier/reddish in real life:)

spent some time with nics again, this time i was tasked with the job of finding
1)a cafe along the red line, not as far as choa chu kang yet not as far as town
2) while sticking to a budget of about 13 or less

all according to the request of demanding nicole hahahaha.
but yes i managed to find such a place!

les patisseries
Block 186 Toa Payoh Central, 01-428

directions: from toa payoh mrt, walk towards toa payoh central where all the shops under the hdbs are until you reach blk 186. (approx 10mins walk from mrt)

i'm so glad we tried this cafe.
first off, we didn't have to wait at all, the cafe was rather empty on a weekday afternoon.
the price was very reasonable (for the mains we ordered), it came up to 12 per pax.
food quality was decent as well, i was especially impressed by their waffles.
we got the rose lychee waffle and i highly recommend it!
the waffles were really crispy, soft on the inside;
it came with sweet lychee bits and a generous scoop of strawberry rose sorbet, very very refreshing.
the scent of rose wafted as the plate was placed on the table, and it even came with real rose bits, impressive.
this is a really nice, tangy dessert to share and the unique flavour and pairing is a major plus point!
as for the eggs benny, it was alright but definitely not fantastic, i didn't quite like the bread but the salmon was good.

definitely heading back here again to try their other mains, waffles and desserts!
they're famous for their hazelnut tart i think, and horlicks waffles!

nics took my otd for me after brunch and we had fun!
i'm wearing the primrose romper from hvv, a perfect lightweight floral piece for summer!

tq nics for lugging back that heavy bag of 60 masks from korea for me hahaha.
love you much much hehe.

went to work and then dinner with the class after that!
this yy just landed in spore and rushed to join us, much dedication!
expression on point boys ;)

walked over to the merlion place/riverside and admired spore's beautiful night lights.
thought of D as we walked through this area, we love coming here at night just to chill and enjoy the breeze. poor boy was stuck in camp at that time booo.
celebrated eug's bday with a troll cartoon cake (elsa fans anyone?) and made him wear a hipster vest hahaha.
walked over to esplanade and watched the mbs light show from there, then the boys had a few drinks at harry's bar.
i tried like two tiny sips of the fruity champagne and it was BAD. :(
any form of alcohol i've tried before tastes so bad to me..
well, at least the others enjoyed it though!

Dove Grey

/ / m a i n / /

had a mid week treat with mommy!:)
we went to montana brew bar which was in pomo, just beside sota!
read up some reviews online and chloechoo recommended their mac and cheese truffle waffles and salmon salad so thats what we got!

hehe are you drooling yet?
surprisingly the place was rather small, like even smaller than usual cafes.
i woud say this caters more to students who are studying in institutes around the area?
pricing was quite alright, about 11 for the waffles and 8.5 for the salad!

so now...the verdict?
i loved both items!:) mommy did too!
the waffles are SO crispy on the outside, and its filled with mac and cheese on the inside.
the truffle aroma was wonderful as well.
the only thing is that it gets abit heavy after awhile imo, so sharing this was just nice.
and the salad is ...L O V E :)))
this is a japanese inspired salad which comes with smooth tofu, sesame dressing, smoked salmon and lots of greens!
very healthy and so yummy, i would eat this everyday if i could hehe.

and afterwards, did some shopping in town to stock up on skincare products!
i know quite a few of you have been requesting skin care posts, but i'm still learning how to take proper product pictures so do give me some time!

some outfit shots by mommy.
