Rising Sun II

Helloooo im finally posting about the second day of my Japan trip!

Our day started at a quaint town in Takayama where we spent the night on the first day.
Its very quiet and peaceful, i think it was a much needed getaway from the buzz of city life that tends to be so overwhelming sometimes.

I've always dreamed of moving to a quaint countryside in the later parts of life. Yes i think that would be really nice :)

Anyways, OTD for the day...

Grandma and her grandkids

While walking around the market streets we saw this cute grandma selling piping hot snacks which smelled so good so how could we resist?;)

I think its like some marshmallow thing thats torched on the outside so its crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside! I loved this hehe, its sweet and melts in your mouth so yums :))

My stylish mom hehe. As you can see mom and i were totally into colour-blocking our japan outfits!

with mommy dearest! Do we look alike hehe.
also, i just realized that my face was so chubby?><
this was in 2013 btw, i lost about 2.5kg from 2013 to 2014 unintentionally, probably due to academic stress, so now i'm at my lowest weight ever since like...sec1?:/
2015 shall be a fatten up year for me then hahaha

Absolutely love going on year end trips with the extended family:)
I guess its true when they say the more the merrier:) It really feels like something is missing whenever we only go on holidays as a family of five!

Candids on route back to the bus.

Winter is such a refreshing change.
And the heaps of snow makes surprise snow attacks so much fun hehe;)
And i have to say, this shot is purely incidental!
It was totally unintentional but this looks like those gangster scenes in movies no?! XD My cousin looks really swag haha!
And then i asked mummy to do a "argh im so cold!!" face with me and she pang me lolol
Next stop, World Heritage Center!

This place is insanely gorgeous i kid you not! Some things you have to see in real life to actually appreciate the depth of its beauty. Pictures and television shows do it no justice really :')

The snowfall on this day was really heavy, but it was all worth it to see the snowy blanket covered landscape:)

& then... we tried making a snowman haha!

And here's our quite successful jump shot in knee high snow! My cousin took this with an iphone and its really not bad right!

Our next stop was a really beautiful park that definitely wasn't as chilly! One of their key attractions is this island in the middle which is supposed to look like a turtle :)

& of course there were stalls there selling sweet treats (the whole japan is filled with these i swear!!) and once again we couldn't resist :x I seriously ate ice cream every single day during this holiday though the temp is below 0 degrees nearly everyday haha, the good thing is that you can take your time to savour it cos it won't melt! The bad thing is... ok haha i take that back ice cream is always a good idea no matter what XD

Dinner that night was one of my favs of the trip! Cos the set meal had everything i loved!!!
Ebi Tempura, Chawanmushi, Soba noodles, Miso Soup and... SASHIMI!!!
Im always happy when i get my sashimi fill hehe.

Ending off with some random iphone snaps we took on the bus;)

Japan is known as the land of yummy snacks/ everything is super freaking yummy so we were feasting ALL THE TIME hahaha

will update again soon.

Till the next;
xoxo
